  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
  • Dry Needling certified
  • Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) trained

Brandon Carestia is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who follows an evidence-based, whole body approach to help his patients improve their quality of life and return to the activities they love. He works at Activcore in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

Brandon grew up in Bucks County, PA and went to high school at Council Rock South. He then attended James Madison University where he earned his Bachelors degree in Health Sciences with a pre-physical therapy concentration. After graduation, he went to Marymount University in Arlington, VA where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2019. Since then, he has taken classes to become certified in dry needling and postural restoration.

Brandon has always been active and very involved in sports. As he got older, he gained interest in seeing how athletes would overcome injuries and return to their pre-injury performance. Eventually, while studying at JMU, he realized that he wanted to pursue a career in physical therapy.

As a physical therapist, Brandon continues to refine his treatment approach to best fit the patient he is working with. He emphasizes corrective movements while incorporating the latest therapy techniques such as pain science education, dry needling, manual therapy, neuromuscular activation, and postural restoration.

Brandon works with a wide variety of patients, ranging from those with neurological or orthopedic conditions, to those struggling with chronic pain and dysfunction. He enjoys working with people who are motivated to improve their quality of life and achieve their goals, whatever they may be.

After practicing in Virginia for 5 years, Brandon and his wife moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family and to work with his older brother, Dr. Bryan Carestia, to serve the community he grew up in. He joined Activcore because the one-on-one environment allows him to provide the personalized care his patients need and deserve.

Brandon is a huge Philadelphia sports fan. When not working, he loves to golf and spend time with family and friends.
