  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
  • Master Balance Retraining Certified
  • Functional Dry Needling Certified

Brian Oliver is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who specializes in vestibular rehabilitation with a particular interest in helping athletes of all ages recover from concussions and other sports related injuries. He works at Activcore in Littleton, Colorado.

Brian attended Colorado State University for undergraduate education and the University of Wisconsin for Doctorate of Physical Therapy training. Brian has led vestibular specialty clinics in both Colorado and Connecticut and is certified in Master Balance Retraining. He is also certified in Functional Dry Needling Level 1 and 2 through Evidence in Motion (EIM) and frequently offers this for orthopedic injuries.

Brian was initially inspired to pursue physical therapy when rehabbing from various high school sports injuries. After a concussion, he was able to see the unique physical treatment approach and knew he wanted to pursue vestibular and concussion rehab. In graduate school, he had a particularly influential professor who focused on vestibular rehab and helped him get more experience in this area.

As a physical therapist, Brian started work at a vestibular-specific clinic in Westminster, Colorado before moving to Connecticut for his wife’s medical residency training. Eventually he led a vestibular physical therapy clinic, getting a large volume of experience in this field alongside expert ENT physicians.

Today, Brian specializes in treatment of all vertigo and balance disorders including BPPV, vestibular neuritis and generally decreased balance. He specifically enjoys treating urgent and atypical vertigo cases and getting clients back to their lives as fast as possible.

Brian has vast experience treating concussions and post-concussion syndrome across all ages. He focuses on early intervention and treating individual-specific symptoms to get clients back to their sport and the rest of their life as soon as possible.

A long-time endurance athlete, Brian also specializes in running and cycling-specific injuries. He looks at the athlete as a whole, taking into account training load, fueling and biomechanics when developing a specific plan for rehab. This may include bike fit adjustments and running shoe recommendations to address all aspects of the injury.

In his free time, Brian and his wife Lindsay, a Littleton pediatrician, enjoy getting out and hiking with their two dogs. Brian also races for the local Groove Subaru cycling team and is a long-time runner, frequently getting out in the front range trails.

My Reviews

Dr. Brian Oliver is amazing and very patient which you need in treating vertigo. Thank you Brian for my first session of therapy which I thought would be nerve racking but you proved me wrong. Can’t wait to continue this therapy and finally get back to my normal self!
Dr. Brian Oliver cares about his patients. I had a bad case of Vertigo and he did all he could to alleviate my symptoms. No more Vertigo. I highly recommend this practice!!
Dr. Brian Oliver is an amazing physical  therapist! My 85 year old mom had significant balance issues and using a walker for months and had several falls inspite of physical therapy at home.  In four sessions, Brian had her completely off the walker. She was able to walk long distances at the airports and tourist spots on a recent vacation. In India, after just a few months of physical therapy. I started physical therapy with Brian for a rotator cuff tear and in just a few weeks have significantly less pain and much better range of motion!
I am 47 year old mother. I got frozen shoulder this summer and couldn’t do anything from so much pain. My friend introduced Dr. Brian Oliver. He DID FIX my shoulder and now he is helping me with my lower back pain! I am so thankful that I found this place! They are very professional and they know what to do and which one works! Select Physical Therapy also helped my son with his elbow injury from baseball this fall! Amazing!! I went to Brian again today and he showed me how to build muscles  around my herniated disks to avoid pain and surgery. Thank you 🙏
I had a great experience here. My PT, Dr. Brian Oliver, helped me get rid of back pain that I’d had for almost 15 years, and he set me up on a program I can use to stay healthy in the future. Highly recommend!
