Joseph “Joe” Martin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in sports injury rehabilitation, orthopedics and complex pain syndromes. He works at Activcore in Princeton, New Jersey, located just 2 miles from Princeton University.
Joe graduated from Penn State University with a bachelors degree in Fitness Studies and Kinesiology. Then he went to Thomas Jefferson University to earn a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Joe has always had a passion towards health and wellness since his youth. He gained a particular interest in his teenage years through weight training. After receiving physical therapy due to an injury, and watching his father deal with daily chronic pain, Joe became even more passionate about fitness and helping others. This passion inspired him to become a physical therapist.
Since graduating from PT school in 2019, Joe has been managing a clinic in Pennsylvania. He treats patients of all ages and levels of complexity. He is skilled in a wide range of specialties but especially loves working with young and adolescent athletes.
In 2024, Joe was drawn to join the Activcore team because of their dedication to one-on-one care. He believes that every patient deserves his full attention and prides himself on continuously growing as a professional to provide the best care possible.
In his free time, Joe enjoys watching sports and movies, practicing self-care, and playing video games. He looks forward to helping you achieve your goals and enhance your quality of life!
Last year, I could barely use my right arm for work. My shoulder was severely unstable. This poses a big problem for a diesel mechanic. From the first visit with Dr. Joe Martin I knew I was on the path to recovery. The next day I was already raising my arm higher and moving more than I had been for a while. Throughout the therapy, Joe tailored his approach to meet my unique needs; providing me with care and exercises that are still helping me today. I left therapy 6 months ago, and my shoulder still feels rock solid. Joe really knows what he's doing. This is evident, not only from my experience, but also from the respect he has from all his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing physical therapy.
