Katerina Kucerova is an Occupational Therapist who specializes in pelvic health, women's health, lymphedema treatment, and general orthopedics. She works at Activcore in Princeton, New Jersey, located just 2 miles from Princeton University.

Katerina is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a bachelors degree in Health and Exercise Science as well as Pre-Med. She also received her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in 2003. Her master's research was in cultural sensitivity in occupational therapy.

As a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist, Katerina has worked in various settings including home care, rehab, acute care, and outpatient. She has also taken on managerial and supervisory positions. More recently, she has joined the team at Activcore to focus her attention on pelvic health.

Katerina comes from many generations of physicians and was on a similar path until she discovered Occupational Therapy. As a child, she watched her grandfather with multiple sclerosis grapple with loss of mobility and function. He was able to walk but had difficulty with other activities of daily living. This made her realize that she was interested in the recovery and return-to-life aspect of medicine, the rehabilitation of a person.

Katerina's treatment style is meeting the person where they are at and working from there. She pays attention to the whole person, especially the psycho-social aspect since she believe their progress can only go as far as their mind allows. She treats everyone with respect and expects them to do their part in order to achieve their goals. As an OT, she has extensive mental health training and takes that into each treatment session. As an OT in pelvic health, she wants to empower her clients to understand their bodies and return to occupations they enjoy.

Katerina enjoys working with adults, especially the geriatric population. She has always felt that as clients get older, they are more and more cast aside by society. She believes that this population deserves attention and respect in order to live life to the fullest.

In her free time, Katerina enjoys spending time with her son, daughter, husband and dog. Her favorite places to visit are Maine and the Jersey shore.
