Activcore Is Now Offering Pelvic Health PT in Bernardsville, New Jersey!

December 10, 2024

I'm excited to announce that I have officially joined Activcore and that I will be offering pelvic health services at the Bernardsville, NJ location starting on January 13, 2025.

So here's a bit about me...

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who specializes in pelvic health, women's health, orthopedics and manual therapy. I received my DPT degree from Rutgers University in 2018. Then I started my physical therapy career focusing on orthopedics, post-operative care, and sports medicine. During that time, I earned my certification as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Additionally, I have taken classes in the Mulligan Concept of manual therapy.

While working in various orthopedic settings over the years, I discovered an array of patients suffering from conditions that appear to be related to the pelvic floor, especially during pregnancy and postpartum (even years after). I also noticed how little information and guidance is provided to these patients, or how unheard they feel.

From there, I made the switch to specialize in pelvic floor PT. I obtained several certifications from Herman & Wallace in the management and treatment of female and male anatomy, visceral (organ) manipulation, and myofascial mobilizations. With my passion for physical fitness, I also became a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES).

In the conventional clinic model, I found it nearly impossible to provide high-quality care while seeing multiple patients per hour. So I joined Activcore to provide a more personalized, one-on-one experience that gets the most out of each person (and myself) for the best results possible.

I bridge my orthopedic and pelvic health training to provide a whole-body approach. I enjoy working with active young and older adults, with the goal of returning to the activity and/or lifestyle that they love. I also enjoy working with patients suffering from urinary and digestive dysfunction as well as pelvic pain syndromes. I ensure a safe and inclusive environment to empower and educate my patients throughout the healing journey.

When not in the clinic, you will often find me hiking, rock climbing, or surfing. I also enjoy spending time with my loving husband and our English Bulldog, Petunia.
